How to Find Your Fitness Flow

It’s 20 degrees in NYC, with a severe wind chill making it feel like is 8 degrees. Myself included, wants to order in Thai Food, wear 4 layers of sweat pants and lay in bed all day. Sticking to a workout regime this time of year or anytime of year is hard. Here are my secrets of why and how I easily stay consistent to my fitness regime.

1. Change your plans

  • Have plans to meet up with your bestie or coworker for after-work drinks? How about a sweat first, then a glass of wine? Just try it, they will appreciate the suggestion just as much.

  • Skip the boozy high caloric brunch, bundle up and go for a walk in central park

2. Community

  • Fitness provides a community of individuals who consistently show up. You silently hold hold each other accountable.

    • How to Find Community

      • Go to your local Lululemon, Jack Rabbit, Nike, ask about their run clubs

      • Go to the same fitness class, go up to that boss babe giving you cool vibes and just introduce yourself. Wa-bam and now you have an accountability partner, invite her to come with you to the next class you are takng.

3. Challenge your partner

  • Communicate with your partner that you need their help to stay dedicated to your fitness goals. Go to a rumble class before dinner.

  • Newly dating? Show your fun side and standout, have date 2 or 3 be a fun fitness class. Spoiler alert: You will definitely stand out next to his other mundane dinner dates.

4. Colour up your fitness wardrobe

  • Get yourself excited. Invest in sustainable fitness brands. No joke I have Lululemon fitness leggings from senior year of highschool.

    • My Favorite brands: Carbon 38, Bandier, Lululemon, FP movement
